The Volkswagen Golf is a small family car (C-segment in Europe) manufactured by Volkswagen since 1974, marketed worldwide across six generations, in various body configurations and under various nameplates — as the Volkswagen Rabbit in the United States and Canada (Mk1 and Mk5), and as the Volkswagen Caribe in Mexico (Mk1).

The original Golf Mk1, designed by the Italian Giorgetto Giugiaro, was a front-wheel drive, front-engined replacement for the air-cooled, rear-engined, rear-wheel drive Volkswagen Beetle. Historically, the Golf is Volkswagen’s best-selling model and the world’s second best-selling model, with more than 29 million built by 2012.[1]

Most production of the Golf was initially in the 3-door hatchback style.[2] Other variants include a 5-door hatchback, estate/wagon (Variant, from 1993), convertible (Cabriolet and Cabrio, 1979–2002), and a Golf-derived notchback saloon/sedan, variously called Volkswagen Jetta, Volkswagen Vento or Volkswagen Bora (from 1999). The cars have filled many market segments, from basic personal cars, to high-performance hot hatches.

Every generation of Golf has been a runner-up in the European Car of the Year awards, but only one has been a winner, the Golf Mk3 in 1992.[3]
The term hot hatch gained widespread use during the 1980s in the UK, first as ‘hot hatchback’ by 1983 and then shortened to ‘hot hatch’ in the motoring press in 1984,[1] and first appeared in The Times in 1985,[2] and is now commonly and widely accepted as a mainstream, if still informal term. It is retrospectively applied to cars from the late 1970s but was not a phrase used at the time.[3]

Within the United States, hot hatches are classified along with saloons and small coupes as sport compacts and elsewhere the term sport sedan is often used. The term is not in wide use in Australia and Oceania despite the popularity of the hatchback in this region.

Some sports cars are hatchback in form, but as they are not upgraded small family cars, they are not classified as hot hatches. Cars such as the Porsche 928, Porsche Panamera, Reliant Scimitar GTE and Ferrari FF have not been classified in print as hot hatches.

Before the Volkswagen Rabbit, the North American version of the Golf, was introduced in GTI form in September 1982 with 90 bhp (67 kW), American manufacturers already offered sporting versions of their own hatchbacks including the 1981 1/2 Dodge Charger 2.2 with 84 bhp (63 kW) and 107 bhp (80 kW) in the 1983 Shelby Charger, and the 1980 Chevrolet Citation X-11 originally with 115 bhp (86 kW). Ford offered the Escort GT and near-identical Mercury Lynx XR3. Chrysler first offered a 2.2 turbo in the Daytona and Laser in 1984 and also offered it in the Lancer/Lebaron GTS and Shadow/Sundance hatchbacks. Chrysler offered the Carroll Shelby prepared turbocharged Dodge Omni GLH in 1985 to 1986 with 146 bhp (109 kW) (which was reputed to stand for “Goes Like Hell”[22]), and in 1986 the 175 bhp (130 kW) intercooled GLHS (Goes Like Hell Somemore). General Motors offered a few sports version of its J-car hatchbacks through 1987, including the V-6 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 and turbocharged Pontiac Sunbird and Buick Skyhawk.

More recent American hot hatches include the 2002 Ford Focus SVT with 170 bhp (127 kW),[23] 2007 Dodge Caliber SRT-4[24] and 2012 Chevrolet Sonic RS.[25]

Japanese manufacturers launched their own sports compacts to the American market including the Acura Integra, Toyota Corolla FX-GT and Corolla GT-S and the Honda Civic Si,[26] and the Canadian built Toyota Matrix XRS.

The Toyota Hilux is a series of compact pickup trucks produced and marketed by the Toyota Motor Corporation. Most countries used the Hilux name for the entire life of the series but in North America, the Hilux name was retired in 1976 in favor of Truck, Pickup Truck, or Compact Truck. In North America the popular option package, the SR5 (Sport Rally 5-Speed), was colloquially used as a model name for the truck, even though the option package was also used on other Toyota models like the Corolla. In 1984, the Trekker, the camper version of the Hilux, was renamed as the 4Runner in Australia and North America, and as the Hilux Surf in Japan. In 1995, Toyota introduced a new pickup model, the Tacoma in the United States, discontinuing the Hilux/Pickup there. The 4Runner is now a full SUV, and the more recent models do not resemble the Tacoma.

Both the Tacoma and the Hilux were updated in 2005. The Tacoma was based on the new 4Runner chassis, while the Hilux rides on a refreshed version of the ladder frame found on previous versions. The new Hilux has increased in size and is now classified as a mid-size pick up. The Tacoma had a new 4.0 liter V6 engine that produces 236 horsepower (176 kW) and 266 ft·lbf (361 N·m) of torque. Its design was very similar to the 4Runner.

Hilux models sold in Australian, Middle Eastern, and Asian markets are built and assembled in Thailand, where the vehicle is called the Hilux Vigo, or simply Vigo. For the European, South African and Icelandic markets the Hilux is built in Durban, South Africa. As of December 2009, it is the best selling vehicle in South Africa. Those sold in South America are made in Argentina, as with the previous generation Hilux.[7] In Asia, the Hilux Vigo platform was used as the basis for Toyota’s IMV program which spawned the Innova MPV and Fortuner SUV/PPV.

On 13 July 2011, Toyota announced that the Hilux would receive an upgrade, including a redesigned front end and other external styling changes, changes to the interior and a new turbocharged diesel engine capable of 106 kW (142 bhp) and 343 N·m (253 lb·ft) of torque, as well as lower fuel consumption compared to the previous model.[9] This updated was initially launched in Thailand.[10] Thailand version of 2012 Toyota Hilux Vigo “Champ” is a significant “minor” change with a new front look and a revamped interior to reinforce perceived luxuriousness. The front is redesigned from the A pillar forwards. With the exception of doors, roofs and tailgates, everything else is new: new guards, new headlights, new bumper, new bonnet, new three-bar grille, new taillights ,a new rear bumper , new models badge and other. There are also new mirrors and new alloy wheel designs. The interior features a new upper dashboard design with a new horizontal centre instrument cluster. Perceived quality has been improved through the adoption of uniformly darker finishes with a greater colour consistency throughout the interior. The high-end Double Cab version now comes with DVD player , rear camera and Bluetooth functionality.[11] , Cristiano Ronaldo are presenter for Hilux Vigo Champ in Thailand , they are announced new “Diamond Tech” technology for commonrail in 2.5 and 3-liter diesel version , with upgraded 32-bit ECU and injector , but they aren’t confirmed that passed Euro IV compilation that used in Thailand from January 1st , 2012

Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio 2013 Catrinel Menghia topless Commercial. The Fiat 500 is a city car built by Italian automaker Fiat since 2007. The four-seater, three-door hatchback 500 is almost identical to the retro concept car Trepiùno presented in 2004. Designer Roberto Giolito’s current Fiat 500 is a modern copy of Dante Giacosa’s 1957 original rear-engined Fiat 500 or “Nuova 500”.

The music in the new Fiat 500 Abarth Commercial by Jennifer Lopez is from her new music video for her song Papi.

In 1995 British shoegazing band Lush recorded a tribute song to Fiat 500. The song, aptly named 500, was released on the group’s final album Lovelife in 1996. A remixed version of the song, renamed 500 (Shake Baby Shake), was released as the groups final single later that year, reaching #21 in the UK singles chart.

Free diving world champion Enzo Molinari and his brother Roberto drive a beaten-up Fiat 500 with a trailer full of diving equipment in the movie The Big Blue. Both actors and the car later featured in Japanese TV commercials for ‘Lazer 100’ gasoline.

In The Castle of Cagliostro, a Japanese animated film starring the master thief Arsène Lupin III, he and his close friend Daisuke Jigen escape on a Fiat 500 pursuit after robbing the casino of Monaco. The car is also seen frequently in other animated iterations of the franchise, including the 1971-72 television series and the 2008 special Red Vs Green.

In the 2006 animated movie Cars, produced by Pixar and populated by anthropomorphic motor vehicles, the automotive character of Luigi is a 1959 Fiat 500.

Jennifer Lopez came to prominence within the music industry following the release of her debut studio album On the 6 (1999), which spawned the number one hit single “If You Had My Love”. Her second studio album, J.Lo (2001), was a commercial success, selling eight million copies worldwide. J to tha L–O!: The Remixes (2002) became her second consecutive album to debut at number one on the Billboard 200, while her third and fourth studio albums — This Is Me… Then (2002) and Rebirth (2005) — peaked at number two on the Billboard 200. In 2007 she released two albums, including her first full Spanish-language album, Como ama una Mujer, and her fifth English studio album, Brave. Lopez returned to music and released her seventh studio album, titled Love?, on April 19, 2011. Its single, “On the Floor”, has impacted charts worldwide. Her contributions to the music industry have garnered her numerous achievements, including two Grammy Award nominations; two Latin Grammy Award nominations; three American Music Awards, amongst six nominations; and the estimated sale of over 55 million records worldwide.[1][2][3] Billboard ranked her as the 27th Artist of the 2000s decade.[4] Lopez is currently a member of the judging panel of American reality television competition American Idol.[5][6]

She led People en Español’s list of “100 Most Influential Hispanics” in February 2007.[7] She has parlayed her media fame into a fashion line and various perfumes with her celebrity endorsement.[8] A fashion icon, several of her dresses have received considerable media attention, most notably the Jungle green Versace dress which she wore at the 43rd Grammy Awards in 2000—voted the fifth most iconic dress of all time.[9][10] Outside of her work in the entertainment industry, Lopez advocates for human rights and vaccinations, and is a supporter of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. In 2011 she was named the most “Beautiful Person” by People magazine in its annual issue.

Catrinel Menghia (born October 1, 1985)[1] is a Romanian model.

She was discovered at the age of 16 on the street by a local agent who took her to Bucharest to meet Liviu Ionescu of the MRA Agency. Six months later, Menghia’s parents allowed her to move to Bucharest and start her modeling career.

Ford Supermodel of the World 2001, where she won the second runner-up prize.

Menghia is the face of Giorgio Armani worldwide.South African Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition and has appeared in FHM and Maxim.
